Mother’s Day is Sunday the 14th of March in Ireland. It is the day (hopefully) mothers get a break from cooking, cleaning and everything else and get to relax!
If you have a child with different abilities in your family, chances are your mom works extra hard and would really appreciate some time to relax. So after you’ve treated mom to breakfast or dinner, give her the remote so she can spend some quiet time watching quality TV.
Whether your mom prefers drama, something light-hearted or something in-between, there is plenty to choose from on Netflix. Some of my favourites are:
House of Cards
Ruthless Congressman Frank Underwood will stop at nothing to conquer Washington D.C. in this Emmy winning political drama.
The third season of this drama starring Kevin Spacey just started. It is very intense, but if you like drama, you’ll love it! Click here for the season 3 trailer.
Orange is the New Black
past crime catches up with her in this Emmy-winning series from the creator of
can’t wait for Season 3 later this year. You can see the trailer for season 1 here and season 2 here.
Better Call Saul
This prequel to “Breaking Bad” follows small-time attorney Jimmy McGill as he transforms into Walter White’s morally challenged lawyer, Saul Goodman.
This series just started on Netflix. Although it is a prequel, from the episodes I have watched so far, you can follow along fine if you didn’t see Breaking Bad. You can see the trailer here.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
When a woman is rescued from a doomsday cult and lands in New York City, she must navigate a world she didn’t think even existed anymore. Here’s the trailer for the first season:
This just premiered on Netflix and I find it rather addicting! A light-hearted comedy with memorable characters!
I would love to hear what you are watching or what shows are your favourites!
Happy Mother’s Day!
